Parker's week of tonsilitis

To say the least, this has not been Parker's favorite week of fun times. He came down with sever tonsilitis on Monday and it all went downhill from there. He is now on IV antibiotic therapy for five days and steroid IV therapy for three days(and of course ,of all times ,it is homecoming week at school).Let's just say that Parker doesnt complain about being sick and he has been very , very , sick and a trooper through it all--even being patient with Ford and all of his doggy help. Hopefully, Parker is on the road to recovery and will soon be able to be a normal healthy teenager soon.

Five mile pass-- Sept. 14, 2008

We took the old"RV" out last weekend for one night to five mile pass which is out past cedar fort to do some riding again. The weather was great and no major injuries(Parker flew off his four wheeler while jumping it but was fine due to his great "tuck and roll" skills). We even found a friendly lizard to play with before we let him go . We enjoyed ourselves so much that we might even go again next weekend!Ya gotta love the RV trips! Thanks again grandpa and grandma hermie!

Jack 4 months old

Last Saturday we got to babysit Jack for a few hours while mom and dad went to the temple. I cant believe that he is already 4 months old. We loved getting to play with him for a while and Sara loved cuddling him to sleep.

ELIZABETH RIDGE 2008

Last weekend we stayed in Coalville overnight and then drove up above Evanston to go riding. Everything was going well until we got about 17 miles up the mountain and Parkers frame on his four wheeler broke. Trent tied the frame together so that him and Parker could tow it back down the mountain with our other four wheeler. I rode with one of our friends to ride over the ridge of the mountain and as we were heading back another friend of ours flew over her handle bars and broke her arm . We made a splint with a coat and some bungee cords and brought her down the mountain to go the hospital. When we finally made it down with our injured friend , Parker and Joe rode up the road to find Trent and the guys who had driven a truck up to meet us , to tell them to come back because we had already made it back down and as Parker was speeding down the dirt road a huge moose jumped out in front of him and he had to swerve not to run straight into him. It scared the moose as much as Parker and the moose ran back into the tree's. Just as everybody made it off of the mountain a huge storm hit and there was a beautiful rainbow over us and we loaded up the ATV's and called it a crazy day.
